The
South Texas Longhorn Association is proudly known as the oldest
affiliate of the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America
(TLBAA), and is comprised
of people throughout Texas who raise and love Texas Longhorn
cattle.
A
large part of our activities center on supporting the young people
who show Texas Longhorn cattle throughout the year and compete
for college scholarships. We sponsor a variety of shows and also
award scholarships for our youth each year. We also schedule field
days and ranch tours during the year so you can have the opportunity
to see how other ranchers operate their programs, learn more about
raising Longhorns, and get tips on what others are doing to help
improve the breed — all while enjoying a day in the country
with other people
from around the Lone Star State who love Texas Longhorn cattle!
We
invite you to become a part of this outstanding organization
and experience the excitement of this magnificent breed
that has played such a significant and iconic role in
Texas history and the American West.
