(A) The STLA Breeders of Tomorrow Scholarship: Any
young person that has been a member of STLA, or who's Parent
or Guardian has been a Member of STLA, in good standing for
the current and previous two years (i.e. scholarship to be
awarded in 2007, would have to been a Member in 2005 & 2006)
in which the Scholarship will be awarded will be eligible
to apply for the South Texas Longhorn Association Breeders
of Tomorrow Scholarship. The applicant must request, complete
and return the application form and any associated documents
during a period between February 1 and April 15 of the applicant's
senior year of high school. In addition to the application
form, the applicant must complete an essay on the topic chosen
by the Scholarship Committee for that year.
(B) The STLA Kids & Horns Scholarship: Any
young person that has exhibited cattle in six (6) STLA sponsored
Longhorn Shows within the last four (4) years will be eligible
to apply for the South Texas Longhorn Association Kids & Horns
Scholarship. The applicant must request, complete and return
the application form and any associated documents during
a period between February 1 and April 15 of the applicant's
senior year of high school. In addition to the application
form, the applicant must complete an essay on the topic chosen
by the Scholarship Committee for that year. The essay topic
will be different from the STLA Breeders of Tomorrow Scholarship
topic. |
